Important Retirement Information

Karavan Trailers, LLC is pleased to announce we are changing our 401(k) Retirement Plan vendor this spring. With this change in vendor, we are adding new retirement planning features for employees and their households to take advantage of. We are excited to provide you with an update on how your retirement account will be transitioned and enhanced over the coming months.
The transition from American Trust to Principal Financial begins on May 5, 2026. The transition process may take up to four weeks for completion. After it is all transferred to the new vendor, you will have create a new account login for the new retirement planning features and similar robust investment line-up offerings. Your individual account will be moved to Principal Financial as part of the full 401(k) Plan transition.
The 401(k) Plan is transitioning vendors from American Trust to Principal Financial. Once the transition is complete, you will have access to new online retirement planning features and similar robust investment line-up offerings. Your individual account will be moved to Principal Financial as part of the full 401(k) Plan transition. The transition from American Trust to Principal Financial begins on May 5, 2026. The transition process may take up to four weeks for completion. You will receive notice when it is complete.
Your entire 401(k) account will be transferred in full from American Trust to Principal Financial. Your current funds and future contributions will be invested in the same or similar investment options. for the time being. You may still log into the American Trust website to view your 401(k) account through May 4, 2026. After this date, the website and your account will be in a blackout period in preparation for the move to Principal Financial.
** You will be able to access your account after the blackout period ends at Principal Financial. The blackout period is expected to end no later than the week of May 24, 2026. **
A blackout period is a window of time during which you cannot make any adjustments to your contributions, take withdrawals or change your investments. The blackout period begins on May 5, 2026, and is expected to end the week of May 24, 2026.
If you have any changes you would like to make to your 401(k) account, do so before the blackout period begins on May 5, 2026.
You will be provided with instructions to register an account with Principal Financial. It is highly recommended that you register an account with Principal Financial and review items such as deferral rate, beneficiary designations, etc
You will receive an email from your HR team and/or Principal Financial in the coming weeks with information regarding this transition. You do not need to take any action with this email; it is simply informational in nature.
