Employee Spotlight – Meet Todd Dahl
May 3, 2026
Behind some of Karavan’s heaviest and most unique builds, you’ll usually find the same name: Todd Dahl. A welder here at Karavan Trailers for 12 years, Todd is one of those guys who just gets it done.
When asked to describe his job in plain terms, Todd keeps it simple: “I weld trailers, I do a lot of the layout work and anything that’s needed.” That last part — anything that’s needed — might be the most telling. Todd’s work isn’t just running beads; it’s figuring out how things fit together and making it happen, often with nothing more than a tape measure in hand.
Speaking of which, when asked about a moment at Karavan he’s proud of, Todd pointed straight to the layout work. No fixture, no elaborate setup — just the skill to get it right. That kind of confidence comes from experience, and Todd has plenty of it.
Outside of work, Todd’s world revolves around his family. He keeps busy with sports and concerts for his five kids — one boy and four girls. Ask him what his coworkers might not know about him, and his answer is short and straightforward: “I’m all about family.”
One fun fact? Todd’s favorite state in the US is Colorado, where he used to live. Hard to argue with that choice.
Twelve years in, Todd Dahl is the kind of steady, skilled presence that makes Karavan run the way it does. Glad to have him.
